We love to cruise, especiall the flexibility of doing what you want/ when you want to do it. 4 different ports on this cruise and they were wonderful! (The only exception was not having enough time on Grand Turk to even complete an excursion we booked through Carnival.) There was plenty to do on this ship, the entertainment was top notch, the food delicious, and our room steward, Raul, and our dining server, Indra were excellent. Spring break week may not be THE WEEK to book a cruise unless you want a cruise booked to capacity with lots and lots of kids. This was a problem when there were no lounge chairs on our last sea day, even though I got up at 7:15 AM to grab a chair in the sun. More to do with being a ship at capacity than the kids. For the most part the kids were just kids. Not any more rude than some of the adults. The port is ridiculously busy. We were on a shuttle that took an hour to make all 4 of their stops. Getting on the ship was not a problem at all. Getting off the ship was absurd. I've only been on 2 other cruises, but this was THE WORST disembarkment. Overall a great week- just remember to be polite and calm when things don't go as planned. I'd book again, in a heartbeat.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

Cabin was a gem! There were three of us, so our 17 year old slept on the pull out sofa. Beds were comfortable. Our room steward was excellent. One and a half bathrooms in this room. Nice for showering after excursions!

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Private pool for Carnival ships. Plenty of room/ lounge chairs for everyone. Zip lining line was really long, so we didn't get to take advantage of this. Unfortunately.

San Juan

We walked around Old San Juan. You can hop on/ off a free trolley too, but it was very busy the day we were there. The forts all cost $5/ person to enter so we just walked around the city and enjoyed the historical buildings from the outside. Fun shopping. Tons of shopping. Verypretty city.
