This was our first cruise with P&O, following nearly 30 cruises with various other lines.

We booked an aft balcony G728 (so deck 8 for normal cruisers). What a mistake that was. In the same way they do with "restricted balconies" P&O really do need to make clear that these cabins WILL suffer from late night noise from the Live Lounge underneath - the bass sound just carries through the floor, walls and even the pillow. Never again.

The ship's crew were (mainly) happy but there were a lot who were just fed-up and did not appear to be enjoying their job at all. Some staff in the restaurant just couldnt be bothered to make any effort. One bartender managed to take my order, serve my drinks and get the slip signed without a single word to me; while happily chatting to his mate.
