This is our third cruise with Royal Caribbean, and while there were a lot of commendable features about the Anthem, there were quite a few disappointments.

1. Phone App - The app is very good for booking things like the Ifly, North Star, dinners, however, we were very lucky to book the Ifly and North Star immediately after we got on the ship, because apparently the bookings were full by 6:00 the first evening. I realize that it is a large ship, and it is hard to accommodate everyone on a shorter cruise, but perhaps have these facilities open for more hours if possible?

2. Excursions - We were disappointed with the booking of our 1 shore excursion. First of all, there were two options for the Kennedy Space Center - one with a tour guide, and one without. They were listed at the same price on the app. The tour guide version was not available to book on the app, so I talked to a Shore Excursion person, and there was a cancellation that we were able to scoop up. When we checked our statement, the price was $12 per ticket more expensive than the app had stated. When we spoke to Guest Services, they forwarded the message to the Shore excursions who called us the next day. I told them what had happened, and their only response was that they would forward the info to the people involved with the app. The only other option was to book the non-tour guide version which we weren't happy with.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Nice cabin, spacious with good storage. Safe needs to be much larger, and the shower doesn't keep a consistent temperature - it keeps cycling between hotter and colder.

Nice touch is that the bathroom has a 'night light' that is constantly on, so you don't need to turn on a bright light at night if you have to go.
