This was our 4th cruise in the last 8 years. We are from the Midwest and in our late 50's. We chose this cruise for the ports. Flew in and stayed the night before. Got to the port at 10:30am on ship by 11:45am. Most of the ship looks really good, some wear and tear, but who cares. We had balcony on deck 7. Plenty of space and attendant was nice and friendly. Beds are firm, and pillows are flat.

Food in dining room was good, not great. Less options. Waiter was good, asst. waiter was learning. Windjammer was good not great, with not many healthy choices. Did not spend more money in special restaurants. When booking we requested a table for 6 (at 8pm), we got a table for 10. One couple never showed up and some others missed some nights to go to specialty places. We did enjoy talking to the two couples that were there most nights. The whole dining room was half empty all week. Kind of boring. Had drink package, no problems getting what we wanted, but bar service was slow. There were waiters walking around pool, but seemed to also take a long time to get drinks from them. Some drinks made differently depending on bar.

Activities were varied, and sometimes not on time, or not much participation. Some music events were scheduled, but sometimes didn't happen. Singers and dancers were really good, and jazz orchestra was outstanding. They have such a variety. Cruise director was OK, but AD was boring and typical.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

Cabin was fine. Plenty of storage, plus space for bags under bed. Bed was firm, and asked for extra pillows as they were flat. Mini frig was empty and slightly cooled. Two maintenance issues were attended to promptly. Cabin is slightly forward of mid-ship. No noise from above or below.
