This was our first RCI cruise, and we would do one again with them, but not in school holidays. On a ship carrying 3,500 passengers, approximately 1,000 were under 18, and they were everywhere. Even into the evening, you would find young children all over the ship.

Embarkation was surprisingly quick, considering they had two major computer meltdowns (not the fault of RCI). They generally don't worry too much about your designated embarkation times, but because of the computer malfunction, they were adhering to the times, depending on your cabin category. It was raining, we were at the front of the queue, but decided not to leave and come back 3.5 hours later as requested by a staffer. We just went in when they allowed the next group to enter. We had to wait for 20 minutes or so at the check in terminal, again because of the computers, but we were on board within the hour. We thought that was excellent considering the issues they had that day.

Service on the ship was friendly and efficient. We had an inside cabin which we prefer, which was a little squashy, but you're only there to sleep. It was always very clean and our cabin steward was very friendly.
