My third 15-day cruise from Los Angeles to the Hawaiian Islands. It was my eighth Princess cruise and I can't wait for my ninth cruise. The Star Princess is big with 15 decks, but comfortable to get around easily. My balcony cabin was average for the category, but I spent most of the days and evenings in the spacious public areas of the ship. The entertainment was top-notch. The singers, bands, and piano players were worthy of most night clubs. A wide variety of typical ship-board activities and innovated competitions kept me busy, both day and evening. The production shows in the Princess Theatre were entertaining and well done. The wait staff were the best. Weather by the pool, in a bar or lounge, or in the dining room, they were attentive, polite, friendly, and also entertaining. The food was excellent from any venue on the ship. A longer time in the four ports would have provided enough time for two shore excursions instead of one, or time to explore each port and some shopping. The shore excursions that I did take were ship provided and lived up to the advertised description. The drivers and guides were courteous and knowledgeable. I would and will sail on the Star Princess again.

What can I say about a stateroom that is not a suite? The cabin was comfortable for the two of us to move around. Enough closet space for our clothes & belongings. Plenty of hot water for our showers and cold water to brush our teeth. Air temperature was comfortable once the ship was underway. In each port the cabin took on the outside air temp. Sleeping was comfortable. Our cabin was above and below other staterooms so we didn't have any outside activity sounds to contend with. We were far enough from the stairs and the elevators without being disturbed by people using either. But close enough not to have to hike the long hallways of cabins. I would use this cabin again.
