We left from Vancouver where we stayed overnight at the Fairmont Waterfront which is directly across from the pier at Canada Place. The Pan American Hotel is in the same location. The Fairmont is beautiful with wonderful service. There is also a food court right next door with a little shopping or if you need a snack from Subway, McDonald's, Tim Horton, etc. before you board.

Holland picked up our bags from the hotel at 9 a.m., and we were allowed to stay in the room till the noon checkout time. There are things to do very close like shopping and dining. It is a safe, clean area with many walkers, joggers, business people and tourists. You can also watch the sea planes, the tugs, ships and fishermen.

Our checkin took about 30 minutes as there were 2 ships checking in at the same time. The rooms weren't quite ready by 1:00, but there was plenty to eat on deck along with entertainment, and the rooms were ready by 1:30.

Cabin Review

Lanai Ocean-View Stateroom

Lots of storage, good location for elevators and walk-around deck. Only one plug-in for the entire cabin. Storage under the bed for suitcases. Be prepared for early risers who do make a little noise.

Cabin 3351.
