Traveled with children

There were 6 of us on this trip (2 inside rooms, adjoined, deck 6 aft), 2 real adults, 2-20 year olds, 1-18 year old and 1-16 year old. The rooms were adequate for our needs, really you just sleep and change in them. Although when I got a break from herding the cats, it was a quiet place to relax.

Cleanliness was evident throughout the ship, but we were disappointed by other cruisers leaving their dishes lying around, in the halls, on the decks, even in the elevator and restrooms! Really people, clean up after yourselves.

There were so many options for entertainment, fun, food, etc. we didn't get to do everything we wanted. I was really impressed by the enforcement of the curfew for those under 18. I actually witnessed youngsters being taken to their cabins after hours. Made me smile. I was a little concerned my 16-year old wouldn't find things to fill her time (she's not into gaming or the other 'teen' things), but was very happy that the venues for Karaoke style singing allowed her to participate even though she was younger than most in those groups.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We flew in the day before the cruise and spent time on Hollywood Beach and the boardwalk the afternoon/evening before our cruise. We had a good time, but the buses stop running at 630p, so we walked a mile back to our hotel. We Embarked on Pier 29--not impressed. The process went very well, less than 30 minutes, but the location and building were very undesirable. It felt like a warehouse for cargo which was temporarily set up for a cruise ship. Disembarking was about the same.
