This was my first cruise with Royal Caribbean but 2nd second cruise ever. From my first cruise with Carnival I learned a few things about how embarkation and disembarkation go. During embarkation, we parked our vehicle at the Port of Galveston parking lot, took a shuttle and then waited in line to go through the process of embarkation (I know that there is waiting involved especially when there are at least 5000 passengers trying to board the ship; for me this is expected anywhere that involves travel in general). Fortunately, I felt that the embarkation was fairly well organized, and the rate at which passengers where boarding the ship was surprisingly fast (in my opinion, comparing this to Carnival).

Once on board, we ate at the Windjammer (buffet), which was ready with food, silverware, drinks, and staff ready to help. Once we ate, we found our cabin thanks to the interactive application found near all elevators that guided you to any location on the ship. I thought that was very helpful, especially when you needed to find out about the activities or shows that where being given that day.

Service was excellent. Personally I believe that the service on the Liberty of the Seas was a lot better than on my first experience with Carnival. The staff all knew my name on the first day on board. They greeted me with a smile and asked about the excursions that I had gone on. Our Main Waiter Magesh P. along with his Assistant Waiter Luigi, where always very attentive, kind, respectful but also had a good sense of humor. They always knew what we liked and when we looked confused as to what to select to eat they always had suggestions (which helped a lot because they had plenty of options to choose from). The food for all three meals was excellent. I enjoyed all meals. I do wish that they served pizza 24 hours ( that was one thing that Carnival did have along with a burger and taco place that was included). One other thing that I would suggest is having another ice cream machine on the pool deck. Majority of the time, there was a long line (mainly the younger children), waiting for ice cream. But other than that, I loved all of the food options.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

The cabin that we selected was an interior cabin, which was less expensive but we didn't midn because most of the time we only went to the cabin to sleep. But when returning to the cabin, we would always find our cabin clean, tidy and freshly clean with the next days compass(itenerary).
