Sail Date: Mar 2017

We live in Texas and thought driving to and sailing from Galveston would be easy and fun. We usually sail with Celebrity and because of this thought Royal Caribbean who owns Celebrity couldn't be much different. We actually spent 15 days on a Celebrity ship in Nov. so I'm comparing ships from a time period of less than 4 months.

The one and only compliment I will give the ship is the evening entertainment is exceptional. During sea days don't expect anything that is not an advertisement for something the ship is selling. Now for the rest of it.

The cabins are tired looking and not exceptionally clean. We usually give our steward an additional tip above the recommended gratuity. In this case we weren't going to until I found out RCI has eliminated an assistant so that one person is responsible for 17 cabins twice a day! RCI has also eliminated all the toiletries except soap, (a shampoo dispenser was filled on the 3rd day at my request). No water pitchers are provided even with a request. We were able to get ice. That chocolate on the pillow is also gone.
