My wife and I have been cruising since 1992 so we have a wide experience. I would probably put this in the lower end of ships we have been on.
First the good: the staff was very friendly and eager to help. The restaurant food was quite good and a good variety.
The not so good. First there is the tipping. As I'm from the British Isles we usually tip depending on what we want to give. If we're told what to tip then it's actually a cost and not a tip. You have to pay 18% on all drinks which are expensive enough to begin with as the pound is not doing so well against the dollar. In fact you have to pay 18% on everything you buy. A friend of mine got a massage at over $100 and had to pay 18% of this on top. Plus there's the tip that's taken out every day unless you go to the desk and ask for it to be removed. You used to be able to do this over the cabin phone but now it must be done in person. I suppose they want you to feel to embarrassed to do this in person. I usually don't mind doing paying this but on this ship I did for a very minor reason. But it really annoyed me.
Very basic, but that is what we paid for.
