Check-in: Well organized and took about 1 hour from arrival at port to boarding. The cold juice and cookies were welcome on arrival. Cold towels and cold drinks were also a nice touch when returning to the ship after excursions.

Cabin: Large outside cabin deck 1 starborad aft. Space was adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. Comfortable beds, functional bathroom and sufficient hanging/shelf space for all our luggage for this 12 night cruise. Cabin service was OK, kept clean and tidy but no special touches.....kids liked towel animals and chocs but steward seemed to constantly forget how many occupants were in our cabin: no bathrobes, then 2, then none. 4 beds made then 3 turned down at noght and sometimes none etc. Gave up asking for laundry bags/info.

Communal areas: As anticipated with no surprises. Vista dining room very pleasant, string quartet played on high tea afternoon which was a lovely way to pass an hour or so. Vista Lounge was large enough to accommodate the audience although seats were uncomfortable and there were a few signs of wear but then the ships 6 years old so acceptable. Screening room was enjoyable, not many seats but they were comfy recliners and quality / variety of films was excellent. I saw "Crossing Over" which was a fairly shocking portrayal of the green card system but not quite as shocking as the 13 seconds it took for the popcorn tray to empty into the hands of glutinous people who obviously hadn't eaten for maybe half an hour or so, you always hear them before you see them and they seldom have anything interesting to say. The Crows Nest was a comfy place to have a few drinks, do a bit of reading or explore internet.
