I chose this cruise because it was a full week but only visited three ports. I enjoy visiting ports, but I like cruise days for relaxing and reading a book. The Bahamas Brews Tour is fun: if you enjoy beer and some tasty snacks, I highly recommend this tour. In St. Thomas you must take the Christmas Cove and Honeymoon Island tour. Swimming with sea turtles and beautiful fish is fun, and the rum punch offered after the snorkeling puts everyone in a good mood! The crew is extremely friendly and fun as well. The tour ends with lunch and relaxing on a great beach - perfect! In St. Maarten, we took a taxi to Maho Beach. It is the beach where airplanes fly right over the top of you before landing directly behind you. It is something to see. Don't go here for a relaxing or beautiful beach. The water is gorgeous, but the beach is fairly small and steep and very crowded. It is fun, and I highly recommend it if you are interested in watching jets land practically on top of your head, but if you are looking for relaxing on a quiet beach, go elsewhere.

The ship itself is huge, but it never felt crowded. It is probably the cleanest ship I have been on, and the staff was exceptional. Every single worker was friendly - no kidding. I have been on cruises where some staff is outstanding, but others are rude or not helpful. On the Oasis, every single bartender, steward, waiter, guest services attendant etc. was friendly and helpful. Lastly, the ship also had the best shows overall that I have seen on a cruise ship. The Beatles tribute band was just great entertainment. The ice show, which I was expecting to be cheesy, was amazing. The aqua show, which does get cancelled quite often, is also well done. I highly recommend a boardwalk balcony room, so you can watch the show from your balcony! I did not get to see Come Fly with Me due to rough water causing a cancellation. Word on the ship is that it is the best show onboard, so I hope to catch it on the next cruise. I have cruised six times total, and this was by far the best food I have had as well - both in the Windjammer and in the dining room. Go to the dining room for dinner. Your wait staff makes your trip. They will get to know you and go out of their way to not just serve you but entertain you and make you feel special. I do not understand people who eat dinner in the Windjammer every night. Even if you have kids, go to the dining room. The kids will love the attention from the wait staff, and no one expects them to have perfect behavior. Cabins on the ship are typical. You are cruising; are you really there for a great room? You will barely spend time in your room. All you need to know is that there is plenty of hot water for showers, and your steward will clean pretty much every time you leave the cabin -- it is awesome. If you are looking for a great ship, book the Oasis. You will love it!

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Perfect - you can see the aqua show from your balcony and see the ocean behind the back of the ship. Noise from the boardwalk won't bother you - especially if you lock your balcony door so that it seals.
