This was our fourth cruise out of New Orleans on the Carnival Triumph. That being said you know we must like it since we keep coming back. I am not going to be biased though in writing a review. It is important to tell the good and the not so good in here.

First off the ship is a great size. They have all the things a person could want yet there are not so many people that you feel crowded in any part of the ship. The flow of traffic is funny though. It seems like if you meet someone at breakfast or sit with them at the comedy show or hang out with someone at the alchemy bar that you run into them all over the ship. I figure the old saying rings true that birds of a feather flock together. So if you wan to meet lots of folks then participate in lots of different activities. IE ever attend and art show? played bingo? sat in on a Trivia session? Did a martini tasting? Played scrabble in the library? Line danced on the Lido deck? Karaoke anyone? Get out there and experience it all. Be the guy/gal that everyone sees.

I wrote a whole review of our cabin 1111. AMAZING. Just look that up and read it. Our cabin steward was awesome. Twice daily service, friendly, attentive, prompt to meet our needs (though we didn't know we needed anything - he anticipated)

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Oh my Goodness. What an amazing cabin. The Spa Deck has to be the quietest deck on the ship. There is no long hallways with kids running up and down all hours of the night. The view from this balcony is completely unobstructed since there is no balcony above you can see the stars and the moon lying in your bed. I loved the sliding door. It is so much better than the traditional push open door. This cabin comes equipped with a couch that makes into a bed and a pull down berth from the ceiling so you could easily sleep 5 in this room. Plus there is a door that connect to the cabin 1109 if you wanted to book adjoining cabins. You are just steps away from the top of the Lido Deck pool area and from the gym (Sauna and Steam room available too without extra charge). The gym area has full size showers so you can go in there and take your shower if you want to really relax and enjoy. Anyone that has cruised before knows that the shower facilities in the rooms are small but sufficient for an average sized person.

If I am ever on the Triumph again this deck is where I will stay.

Port Reviews

Progreso

It is a safe place to just kick back and relax. Take the free bus down to the city and go to the public beach. Be good to the folks. Enjoy you day.
