We needed a break in the sun and this cruise suited us - dates and location. Fist time with P&O. We enjoyed it very much but potential customers (and P&O) need to be aware of several niggles. Firstly although part of the same group (Carnival), you get no credit for previous Princess Cruises (we have done 6) although Princess give you credits for P&O cruises! Bizarre.

While embarkation and disembarkation was very good, Thomas Cook overhead baggage allowance is a measly 6KG. That is absurd. Use a light weight bag that meets the dimensions they allow (documentation from P&O actually says 5Kg)

Generally the food is good but the buffets are only average - often on the cold side.
