Having booked this cruise some months ago and then read the reviews I can't say we were looking forward to this. Thank goodness I went and made my own mind up.

We arrived at MSC's dedicated terminal at Venice at 12 noon. We had used the on line check in and were fast tracked. We waited for less than 5 minutes in the queue and were quickly processed, all four of us. Ready to board, but first buy some drinks packages, again simple and straightforward with staff who were pleasant and efficient. English was not their first language, but hey it was an Italian ship, owned by an Italian company sailing from an Italian port, so what do you expect?

We were on the ship within half an hour and we were shown to our cabin on deck 11. A spacious balcony cabin brightly decorated and very comfortable. We then decided on a quick, if you can do a ship this size quickly, look around. The ship was outstanding. It was spotlessly clean and the public areas were spacious and well laid out.
