This was out first cruise with RCCL. We found out on a Sunday that our plans for the next weekend weren't going to happen and decided to see if we could get on a last minute cruise. RCCL had a cruise that matched up with our corresponding days off so I called immediately to learn they had one balcony room left. We booked and sailed out Thursday morning. Getting on board was no problem and we went right to our room to check it out. The room steward greeted us in the hall and called us by names that weren't ours. We were very confused but discovered that everything was still in the name of the unfortunate cruisers that had canceled their reservation and allowed us to book a room last minute. The room steward assured us when they got updated paperwork overnight that it would be in our correct names. That never happened. For the entire cruise we were officially known as the previous cruisers names and never our own. It wasn't a big deal but odd to make reservations for dinner, the spa, and anything else that we wanted to do on the ship with names that weren't ours. Unfortunately RCCL did know our names when it came to running our credit card to pay for everything.

The food was just okay. RCCL came highly recommended to us and to me the food wasn't any better than what you get on a Carnival cruise. I am not sure why RCCL is a little more expensive because to me it was the same crowd, same service, and same food.

The ship showed a little wear and tear but seemed to still be in her glory. We had the internet package and never had one problem with the internet. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage in the room.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Cabin was very nice and very spacious for my husband and me. Our room steward kept things very nice and tidy and would recognize us anytime that we were in the halls.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

It was normal get off the ship chaos. I think it may have a little slower than previous cruises from other ports, but overall I have no complaints.

Cozumel

Cozumel was wonderful. The locals were very nice and didn't seem to hound you to buy stuff like I have seen in other places I have been.
