My brother is having a "significant" birthday this year, and last year asked us to help him plan a cruise to celebrate (he's never been on a cruise, while we've been on several). Not only did I say we'd help plan it, but we'd go along! My parents also joined us, so it was a very nice family affair.
We've always enjoyed Celebrity but never had the opportunity to sail on the Reflection. We were not disappointing. The ship is beautiful, and constantly kept clean by the top-notch staff. All the common spaces (bars, lounges, etc...) were each uniquely different and had their own "vibe". We particularly enjoyed the Ensemble Lounge which was the "gateway" bar to all the theme restaurants. There was always talented musicians playing, but never too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The artwork throughout the ship is varied and eye catching.
The shopping is what you've come to find on ships these days. We really didn't spend much time in the on board shops. The casino was a nice diversion on some evenings, but we never spend much money there.
Our cabin was clean and our cabin attendant, Gotot, was simply amazing and never ceased to ask us if he could do anything for us and checked in that we were enjoying ourselves. We've never been disappointed with Celebrity's cabin attendants. Such hard working and genuine people.
Miami is a great city. Wish we could have spent more time there. Boarding at the cruise terminal was fast and easy. We're Select members and so having that status afforded us earlier boarding.
We've been before. We prefer to stay on the ship due to the country's poor record on LBGT rights.
Nice beaches, but high pressure/hard sell artisan village made us feel uncomfortable.
