This was a cruise to celebrate our son and daughter-n-laws wedding anniversary. The staff at the Steakhouse went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable celebration dinner. Our days at sea were very pleasant, yet crowded on the deck areas with passengers ranging in age from infants to seniors! The entertainment was a variety so there was something for everyone to enjoy. The port days and excursions were handled nicely so there wasn't much wait time for leaving the ship or returning at the end of the day. Our cabin steward asked if we wanted a.m. service or p.m. service, this was something new to us. We selected a.m. service. Our son and his wife asked for both a.m. and p.m. service and received it. Thanks Carnival for a great adventure! I am sorry to report that we did not attend the Cruise Critic "meet and mingle". We were never informed of a meeting time or date even though we had signed up to attend and listed our cabin #.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8B

Our cabin was nice. Had plenty of room and closet space. Balcony was large enough for 2 chairs and a small table. Could occasionally be bothered by noise that sounded like chairs being scooted across the upper deck.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Very congested area. Was not impressed with the new check-in time system. We still waited for an hour 1/2 to board.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Nice shopping area and easy to locate our tour guide.

San Juan

This was our third time to visit San Juan. We went to the Cathedral and revisited both of the forts. The views are great and the area is filled with history.

Grand Turk

Very small island. We walked along the beach and took a tram ride around the island. It is still recovering from the previous hurricanes.
