I'll begin by saying that the ship itself is gorgeous. Very new and modern, staff work very hard to keep the boat constantly clean. Wonderful variety of restaurants and lounges/bars for whatever mood you may be in. Unfortunately, too much time has gone into making the ship pretty and not enough time has gone into training the staff on customer service. Once at margaritaville, I ordered a glass of wine and the bartender (Yadz) told me off and said i should be ordering only margaritas, not wine, at a margarita bar. At another bar, the bartender told me that if i wanted to get his attention i needed to shout at him and wave my arms to get his attention, as he is otherwise "too busy" to notice guests sitting and politely waiting for a drink. At a restaurant one night I ordered the Banana Split for dessert, by the time it got to me it was melted soup and when i brought this to my servers attention, she said that is to be expected since the food comes from the floor below. No apologies, did not offer to bring another one or fix the problem by any means. Our steaks were always over cooked and the meals would come out cold about 60% of the time that we dined. There is a bar located between two main dining rooms (taste and savor) and some nights there would one be ONE bartender for the busiest location of the ship between 6-8. Staff constantly seemed swamped and as a result are too busy to notice or care about the experience of the guests. Norwegian has done a great job with the ship itself, especially with the entertainers (they've hired some really talented people!) but more attention needs to be put into the hiring and training of their service staff - who are often too rude or foreign to care or understand that they are ruining the experience for those trying to have an enjoyable time on what should be a relaxing vacation. For this reason alone I would not recommend this ship to anyone I know.
