Chose breakaway out of NYC for March Break and close proximity to Canada. Terribly overpriced and hidden charges at every turn. Charge for bingo, arcade, drinks, service charges (horrible service), bowling (5 bucks a game!!), basketball....the list is endless....Embarkation took close to two hours, bored on the ship, ship was packed with people, unable to find tables to dine at, food was average and tender was cancelled due to rocky seas....during the announcement I heard two employees cheering in the hallway.....workout room was so packed they had no equipment available in the mornings.....made us all purchase the soda package for 350 CDN even though my husband and I hardly drink pop, and the access to soda was only at the bars so I had to send my 13 year old to stand at the bar with all the drunks (and there were many of them) to get a Pepsi.....Disembarkation? Disgraceful, took over two hours to get out to our car. The only positive thing I have to say is The Second City was fantastic. Most expensive vacation we have ever taken and we have been to Disney and Universal. In our opinion is was a colossal waste of money and will never cruise again with NCL. Co-workers have assured us that we will have a better experience on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean.
