Why Norwegian cruise lines would take one third of the upper deck and make it for premium haven use is beyond logic. Make a ship to hold over 4000 guest but make them fight for deck chairs while being prohibited from the front third of the ship. The pool and sun decks are poorly designed to handle the load of guests. Then to also make one elevator for exclusive use of the haven guests on a ship that has half the elevators required anyway makes this ship a real pain to be on.
The cabin design is also just plain weird. Mini suites are longer than normal balcony but it is waisted on a huge shower and toilet area. A drape that separates them from rest of room is rarely used as the sink is still in the main cabin and right next to bed. It should have separated the entire bathroom area so you can at least get some sleep while partner uses it. The door on the toilet is not workable if you are over 6 foot tall. The curve design cuts off half the width. Not a good space.
Food and services are ok for a cruise. We bought through Costco so the drink package was included along with some on board credit. good way to buy cruise packages. The ultimate drink package includes your drinks, but not water, and the add on a service charge for every drink outside of dinning room. I guess it is necessary as there is no way to tip wait staff other than cash. Be prepared for 70 cent charges every time.
This cabin is below something that makes noise like bouncing balls during evening.
