Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Large Balcony

My adult daughter and I chose this ship for several reasons. We like RCI and have traveled with this line in the past. I have frequent cruise perks and we liked the itinerary and the week of travel.

The Allure is certainly the largest ship we have ever been on, but still adheres to the standards of RCI that we are accustomed to. We love the cabins, always choosing the port side with a balcony. Although we were almost all the way aft, and could occasionally feel the drift, the cabin was comfortable, with adequate space for the two of us. The closets and drawer space allowed for each of us; although I always bring extra hangers, I did not need them, as there were enough.I also bring magnets ( a really good idea for hanging notices).

One of the newest features offered by the Allure is Valet service for disembarkation. I can't imagine anyone not taking advantage of the service. For a small fee, your bags will be picked up the night before arriving at home port and checked through to your final destination. All you need to take with you when you leave the ship is your carryon. It was wonderful not having to search at the pier for the luggage. Embarkation was smooth and quick. The line has the procedure down to a science.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

We spent our time independently at the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

I would recommend the Port Everglades post-cruise tour. Interesting and informative. Great for families.
