We wanted to try the newest ship and go to 2 of the stops that we hadn't yet visited. I am handicapped, our room was the farthest forward on deck 6. Every time the waves hit the ship, it sounded like a hammer hitting metal and the floor vibrated. It woke us up constantly all night. It was an odd location as handicapped rooms are usually close to elevators. We were the farthest forward and the restaurant was the farthest aft. I use a walker and it got to be too much for me some days. Also the the door to the observation deck was next to ours and it was a 3 door system, so everytime someone went in or out it was three bangs. We like seated dining room times, but that dining room was so small there were 250 of us on the waiting list so we had to wait in line to get a time to eat and then wait in line to get in. (After 2 days I was allowed to just go to the desk and get seated right away so I did not have to stand.) Not enough wait staff, although they tried really hard, but it was like they were running a race all the time. All the staff on the ship were wonderful, all tried very hard to make our trip the best it could be. So many people that you couldnt get into the bars in the evening as everything was full. The sea days that had no sun (2 of them) all the sun worshippers were in the common areas and you couldnt hardly move thru the halls. We ended up spending a lot of time in our room as very few of the activities were aimed at retirees. If you are young and have never cruised, you will like this ship; if you are older and have cruised before, it does not measure up. The quality of the food has declined dramatically. We always thought Carnival had the best food, but not any more. We will not go on this ship again.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Typical handicapped room. Not enough hanging space in closet. Balcony was so small that one chair always had to be on the ramp.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Open air tour bus with ladder to get up and down. Good guide, but not a whole lot to really see.

Bonaire

Love this Dutch artists Island. We walked and shopped. Beautiful weather and clean beautiful island

Aruba

One of our favorite islands, so colorful and great shopping. Super nice people. But for us, a long walk from gangway to Main Street. Some of the best deals were right in the terminal.
