Having read a fair number of negative reviews and cruised only on river cruises, we were fairly apprehensive about embarking on the Millennium in Singapore; however, any doubts were dashed within a day of boarding. The embarkation process was fast and efficient. We likely took too much in our backpacks in anticipation of waiting a long time for our cabin to be ready, and had a chance to enjoy a good lunch and a bit of a walk before being advised we could get into our room.

Our room was about the same size as our river cruise ships and we didn't even use all the storage space that was available.

We were on the 3rd floor mid-ship and highly recommend that location for access to the foyer, stairs and elevators, with minimal swaying or noise. Our steward, Noly, was just wonderful to us and always seemed to appear whenever we had a question. We loved the rose petals, constant fresh towels and cabin clean-up almost as much as his cheery smile and inquiries as to how we were doing. Our oceanview room with huge round window was perfect as we spent minimal time in the room and a balcony would have been wasted on the many industrial ports we docked at. What a comfy large bed we had!
