We chose this Auckland to Sydney cruise as a once in a lifetime trip. Overall the cruise did not disappoint. We were upgraded to Concierge Class and the stateroom was a good size and well equipped. We used 'Select Dining' which was great as it meant you were not fixed to any time or any table and therefore found ourselves dining with different people from all over the world every night. The food was excellent.

The other facilities were great with lovely swimming pools and whirlpools avainbale both inside and out. Although on a Classics drink package, I was concerned at the prices of drinks e.g. $11.50 for a small bottle of London Pride is not value for money and even $7 for a small Heineken seemed excessive.

The entertainment was a bit hit and miss but overall quite good. The excursions were as you would expect - plenty of them but not cheap.

Concierge Class 3

Cabin C3

Well equipped with great balcony, but was not happy to be charged for drinking water!

Port Reviews

Dunedin

Best of what we did - highlighting Railway Station and Botanical Gardens

Hobart

Good excursion to see the highlights, but the trip up Mount Wellington was a bit scary following the accident that occured on a trip in Akorora
