We were a group of five couples sailing from Port Everglades to the Eastern Caribbean. We stopped in three ports. Amber Cove, in the Dominican Republic, was the first stop. Several in our group took tours and were saddened to see the third world conditions that were outside of the port. The next stop was St. Thomas, which is always a favorite spot, especially Megan's Bay. However, there were several ships in port that day and it was way too crowded on the beach. Our third stop was in St. Kitts/Nevis. The one excursions that I had been interested in had sold out before I booked it so we spent most of the day looking around the shops near the port. I really wish that I had gone to Caribelle Batik, as we heard people raving about it.
This is our second cruise on the Regal and we really like the ship. I know that it is going into dry dock next month for grand staircase and carpet, etc., which will make it even nicer. We had an announcement from Captain Street that the weather, winds were the worst in his 27 yr. career, but none of us got seasick.....we could feel the movement on the ship, but it was manageable.
The crew went out of their way to be cordial and I found that to be true in the dining rooms, the Horizon Court, in the Housekeeping Department, etc. We encountered no one that seemed to be less than cheerful.

It was certainly adequate......what made it better was that our door between our friends and our balcony was opened up so we could gather out there.
