This was my first Celebrity cruise, having sailed on Princess (3x), Carnival (2x), and Disney (1x). I chose this cruise based on the date and the itinerary - San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

Embarkation at the pier was fast and easy, and we were on the boat greeted with a glass of champagne in no time. We went to our Concierge lunch in the main dining room, which is a pretty room with so-so service. We only ate in there twice the whole week. We were let into our rooms within a reasonable time, and were very happy with the size and layout of the room, the balcony, and especially the bathroom (why can't Princess do shower doors instead of that awful curtain?). The beds are comfortable, but the promised "pillow menu" is just four small different pillows already in the room. Almost every towel we received throughout the week was ratty and falling apart. Celebrity should be embarrassed about that. Steward service was fine, nothing great, nothing negative, except some days he would only leave us 2 large towels, and some days we would get 4.

We bought the premium drink packages, and this worked great for convenience. I never found the bar service too slow (as some have complained) and could always find options I liked. The buffet outshone any other cruise line I have used - the layout, the options, the selection and the space between dining tables. We used room service twice for breakfast and once for a late snack, and always found it to be acceptable quality.

Location of room was good, on Deck 10. Good location to use stairs most of the time to move up and down to most common destinations.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Love Ft Lauderdale but we were only there long enough to sleep.

St. Maarten

We didn't end up doing anything here except shopping and sitting at a cute little shack for drinks, sitting in the breezy island weather.
