This cruise was a well deserved vacation for my family after over two years of varied family issues. My wife and I had decided to treat ourselves and our children (24 & 21) to a vacation.

The kids had the same spring break from their classes so the week seemed perfect. We booked a deluxe balcony for ourselves and the kids had a guaranteed interior stateroom. The kids ended up in a Superior-outside stateroom and my wife and I were in a Jr. Suite.

We flew down to Miami the day before the cruise and took a cab over to the Port of Miami. During the drive (5 minutes) my wife and I both realized we had not put the luggage tags on our bags. The porter who met us from the cab was so nice with a stapler ready at hand. Check in was very easy. Having the suite status definitely helped. We boarded around 11:30 so we had lunch in the Windjammer while we were waiting for the rooms to be ready at 1:15. At this point we realized that college kids in the 21st century take cruises for Spring Break.

Cabin JS

This cabin was huge! Loved the space. I wish we were traveling with a group of 10-12 we could have hosted them all. Michael kept the room neat and tidy. Sometimes my wife felt the air conditioner could be too hot or too cold. The larger balcony was adefinite bonus.
