This was my first cruise and my husband's second, we also took our 7 and 16 year old boys. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never been on a cruise before and it had been about 15 years since my husband had been. Our ports of call were Amber Cove (Dominican Republic), St Thomas (Virgin Islands), San Juan (Puerto Rico) and Grand Turk (Turks and Caicos).

First, the room was soooo much smaller than I expected but it worked for us, I loved having the balcony to sit on. Our room steward, Evangeline was absolutely wonderful. The first night I took a shower and noticed it was draining very slowly and it flooded the bathroom floor. I tracked her down and she had it fixed within a couple hours. We also had an issue with our balcony door one evening, it wouldn't open, we let her know and it fixed by the time we returned to our room.

I would book any shore excursions in advance. My husband didn't want to
