We chose this trip because of the itinerary and high praise from our travel agent. All I can say is that the cruise was absolutely perfect. Check-in was simple and short. All the food areas are outstanding. The 4 special restaurants are free, but advance reservations are a good idea. We did not particularly enjoy the Asian one, but perhaps it was our choices. Cabins are very large and comfy..Incredible bathrooms. We were concierge level, which gives access to the concierge lounge. He was most helpful in a number of ways, plus there are drinks and snacks there at all hours, plus newspapers and computers. There are many special activities, e.g. wine and martini tasting, cooking and art classes, exercise and spa activities and lectures. Nice gym and private areas for those in concierge and above. Great massages. Entertainment probably the weakest area, but we had a fabulous singer. We spent lots of time in the casino, where it is actually possible to win decent sums! Played bingo and trivia and won points to redeem for gifts later on. We only used one Oceania excursion (to the beach) and it was fine. other times, we hired a cab for a tour and also used a private company tour. Both were great. the pool is heated, which I loved and it is empty often especially after 4;30! There are plenty of shaded area if you want to stay out of the sun. Generally speaking, the crew will not let you lift a finger, ever! Everyone is very polite and friendly. Found the passengers easy to talk to. Loved not having to dress up very much. Great idea to sign up for Roll Call and arrange a meeting--we met lots of folks so we didn't feel like strangers. Do it! If we ever to cruise again, Oceania would be our choice. (We have been on Crystal and liked this better.) Recommend room 9028, across from laundry and lounge and not too far from elevator. They even hung up a Happy Birthday banner in our room!!
