We were skeptical of cruising; we hate all-inclusives. But we thought we would give cruising a try. We selected Celebrity because, all though we love children, we didn't want too many around. We are middle aged but didn't want to be surrounded by senior citizens. We wanted top notch food and a good wine selection. We do not mind casual but did not want too casual. (There is a dress code in the main dining room for supper - perfect.)We were not disappointed in any of these areas.
The ship is beautiful- stunning really. The staff is constantly working keeping everything clean. We never lacked for anything. One tiny complaint is that a lounge chair anywhere on deck is virtually impossible to obtain unless you rise very very early and snag your spot. We never did this, so I cant even tell you how early you'd have to get up.
We only booked one excursion through the ship. It was fine. We were very impressed with how well organized the groups are expedited. We booked two other shore excursions independently which were very very good. I think you could go either way and be fine. Reputable excursion specialists stake their business on looking after cruisers. Booking through the cruise is so simple and safe. It takes the worry out if you cant be bothered with research.
Fresh clean comfortable. Close to elevators. Unobstructed view. Nicely laid out. Plenty of storage. Perfect room attendant Nazareth.
