More people equals more money....

My wife and I, traveled with another couple, We cruised before together and decided over a year ago to give the NCL Escape a try. . In all, this ship is massive. Had a great time and would probably go back on it again..

So, I've been waiting for this cruise for over a year. Being NCL's biggest ship, and the tallest in the world. I built this ship in my head that was going to be amazing, but reality set in once I boarded. Embarkation was normal, no issues with that at all. Upon boarding and entering the atrium, I was not impressed. I'm so used to having an atrium where you get that awe factor. I got that with the Pride of America, the Dawn and other cruise lines but the Escape,it just wasn't there. What I liked with the other two ships was the glass elevators that overlook the atrium. I felt the same with the theater, I understand that there are a lot more people on board that need to be accommodated but seeing those other theaters and then seeing this. It reminded me of a high school auditorium. With a capacity of 800 people. Smaller ships have more than two shows. But After Midnight, The Brat Pack, ending with the Tenor show and goodbye from NCL shows were very entertaining and enjoyed them. The other 4 nights, we found ourselves people watching, and how popular the soft serve ice-cream was. Make sure you get up before 6 am to get a lounge chair if you want to be near the pool. The thermal spa, was awesome. It was bigger than other cruise lines that I've experienced with. The scrubs, were plentiful and refreshing. Steam room to the snow room was awesome.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

Walking to my statement, the first thing I noticed was that there where no inside cabin's and the passage way was smaller than normal. When the stewards where cleaning the room, I actually had to walk with my back against the bulkhead. Upon arrival to my cabin. I noticed that the room was smaller than I've been on with past NCL cruises. The closet was against the bathroom bulkhead which made opening and closing of the door difficult as it actually never could fully open the closet. As for the bathroom itself, it is bigger than past cruises, not a fan of where the toilet is located but had no issues with the shower.
