Ship Facts: Carnival Pride Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Pride Deck Plans
Carnival Pride - Mexican Riviera

This is a very lovely ship. The ride was comfortable and fast.

We loved our balcony and the view from our bed in the mornings. We have cruised before and liked our room on this particular cruise the very best. The bed wasn't the best we've slept on, but not the worst either.

Our biggest complaint was that there were way too many unruly children running full tilt all times of the day and night. The pampering we received on past cruises was not there and the general staff was not real good at helping the guests. Frequently we received rude and quick responses to inquiries. Our room steward and our wait staff luckily were superb but we heard many complaints about some of the others.

The food was B+ and there were many extra costs for many things we hadn't experienced before. These were things that have been free in past cruises. There was a lot of "hawking" of merchandise on board. The recommended Carnival stores in port were very pricey.

The ship itself we liked a lot and there were plenty of activities. I don't think I would travel with them again because we have received better pampering on other ships and less "add-ons" that makes the overall price of the cruise same as the more expensive lines. The children are not kept in check. Unless you are a family with well behaved children I would not recommend this. Especially don't go during summer months. It might be fine at other times of the year.
