My husband and I have had great experiences with Celebrity in the past, and cruised on the sister ship to the Eclipse 2 years ago. The ship class is large for the Celebrity line, but much smaller than the mega-ships (we do NOT like the idea of those big ships).

They have the hot glass blowing show on the ship-- very fun and different from any other ship. We don't care for music/singing/dancing shows, and they had quite a few of these for the evening entertainment. They did have good comedy shows, however. We have seen 2 of them before on previous Celebrity cruises, but were good enough that we did want to see them again.

The veranda cabin was perfect, we could watch docking & leaving while getting ready and eating room service breakfast. There was plenty of storage both in the bathroom (we didn't even use one of the cabinets at all) and for clothing (although there never seem to be enough hangers-- I brought extras).

Cabin 1B

From what I could tell from the map (right outside of our door) we were almost exactly midship, it was not a long walk from the elevator (although there were cabins closer to the elevator). There were no obstructions to the view. The bed was comfortable and large. There was ample storage both for clothing and in the bathroom. Suitcases fit under the bed.
