We have now taken 3 Quantum class cruises originating at Cape Liberty. One on Quantum and 2 on Anthem. We love the ship itself in terms of its' layout and attractiveness. We find the service on RCCl exceptional and friendly. Food quality is still good but not outstanding as in previous years. I feel we are being pushed towards the specialty restaurants but do not support the extra cost. We pay enough as it is. I was disappointed this cruise with not being able to eat at will in the four different complimentary restaurants. That was the fun of sailing on the Quantum Class and it somewhat lessened the cruise experience. The menus were very static, almost boring except for the one night of lobster tails. Last cruise they were offered every night in the Grande.
We traveled with family and they enjoyed the cruise very much. One odd thing; our four adult grandchildren never had their cabin done most days til late afternoon and sometimes 9 pm. This was a glitch for sure. Guest services seemed disinterested when they complained.
-`The shows were the same as the last two cruises so we were not interested in seeing them all again except for" Spectra's Cabaret" which was exceptional. I wish they would give "The Gift" to another cruise line. "We will Rock You" was good but very long. At least it was a traditional show. The family liked all but "The Gift".
Very happy with this cabin. Near fwd elevators and at edge of hump but not on it. Regular size balcony. Quiet location. Surprised no cabin amenities. Seems they could be provided on first day and then requested.
We drove from Long Island and found the embarkation process excellent. Parking was a breeze.
Fun place to explore near the ship and straw market.
