I chose this sailing because my significant other was on vacation, along with thousands of others. I had sailed this route before on the tail end of a Panama Cruise transit. I thought my partner would really enjoy visiting this part of Mexico. Although the ship was extremely crowded with over 400 children on board we did have a great time. The captain made an announcement at the beginning of the cruise that parents would be responsible for bad behavior on the part of their children. It seemed parents took the warning to heart. It wound up being very relaxing, You could forget using the main pools or the main deck hot tubs, but the adult pool and hot tub on deck 15 was very quiet. Quiet was enforced because it was right next to the Sanctuary, a paid area of quiet and relaxation.

Food/Dining

The galley serves food for 3000 passengers and 1100 crew. It’s an amazing feat and Princess does a great job.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin B2

I wanted a mini-suite, but had to settle for a balcony because this cruise booked out quickly. I found the bed rather small. At 5’ 6” my feet were off the end of the bed. There was a little coffee table and a chair in the room, with one flat-screen TV angling towards the bed. Princess offers a large closet for hanging things, as well as a shelf for your clothes with mirrored doors. There is a self-operated safe in the closet area. My SI was able to park his mobility scooter in the closet still leaving enough room to hang our clothes and contain one suitcase.

as you’d expect the bathroom was small. We had a little shower with a line to dry our bathing suits. The counter is pretty narrow, but there are shelves for your toiletries. Shampoo Alert ! Bring your own. Princess does not put toiletries in the bathroom. The shampoo-conditioner in the shower containers was terrible. It left my hair dry and hard to style.

We had a nice sized balcony on the Caribe deck(Floor 10 ). When we were at sea we found it to be too cold to sit out there for long, but it was nice for port and sailaways. Order breakfast on the balcony for port days. The downside is that everyone on the decks above can look right down into your balcony, so keep it family friendly out there.

Tips:

The shower drain was slow and overflowed into the bathroom. Don’t be shy - tell your stateroom attendant
