This is our second cruise. Our first was with Royal Caribbean and we liked it very much. The Escape is beautiful! Love the Waterfront, probably the best part of the ship. The staff is not very friendly and can be very rude at times. The food in the main dining areas (Taste, Savor, Manhattan Room) was not very good. The food in the specialty dining was way better but it costs a little more. You have to make reservations for every restaurant but at times they are very behind resulting in making you wait 30 to 45 minutes which is frustrating when you have a show to see after dinner. The main pool is not very big and they have way more sun decks than pool area. Soda cannot be found anywhere but the bars. Announcements are non stop and if they are important they are made from someone with a very thick accent and you can't understand them. Beds are nice and soft but ship was rocking very hard the entire time so things kept banging in the night keeping us awake. Overall, it really felt like this ship catered more to Europeans than it did Americans. Most likely will not be sailing on another Norwegian ship again, sticking with Royal Car.
