It had been about 7 years since we first sailed on the Eurodam, and based on the first experience, we were looking forward to returning. We were not disappointed! We usually sail with HAL, but the last ship we sailed, Nieuw Amsterdam, was rather stark and a tad disappointing. This time, we appreciated the classic look and some nice upgrades. Our room, 4109, was great. Although an "obstructed view", we had plenty of light and some view because the window was huge, about the size of a sliding glass door. Food was great, service was awesome. We did anytime seating, and the longest we had to wait any evening was 15 minutes for the dining room. The entertainment was just OK. A magician/comedian was not entertaining, but the Arctic film with live music was cool. Late night dining options could be better. After 11:30, your only option is pizza (although the pizza was good). Some late snacks in the casino would be nice. Movies were good, but it would be nice to have drinks available in the theater to go along with the popcorn. No server ever came in to take any drink orders. As for ports, Half Moon Cay is always our favorite, and despite some challenging weather, thanks to the CAPT flipping the itinerary, we were able to enjoy our day there. As for Amber Cove, not much other than the pool and shops, and we had a cool overcast day so we walked around for a while and then went back to the ship for a nice Dive In burger. Overall a nice cruise. We'd like to try the Koningsdam next so hopefully HAL will do some 7 day trips with that rather than the 10 days. Also wish HAL would have at least one ship which does year round Caribbean itineraries.
Great room, nice flat screen tv, very light despite being obstructed view.
Wanted to go snorkeling at Fort Taylor but quite a hassle with port security. Would be nice if cruise passengers could have direct access.
Not much there
Always our favorite
