Sail Date: Mar 2017
Cabin: Grand Suite with Balcony

We enjoy sailing on new ships and I must say the HOS didn't disappoint. First, we were in a beautiful grandsuite. Our cabin attendent was excellent- His name is Eberton. The conceirge Jerimiaus was also wonderful and prior to the cruise contacted us and we were able to make dining reservations, spa appointments and rent a cabana on barefoot beach. We really enjoyed being on the ship. While over 6000 guests were on board, we never felt crowded and the ship had plenty of lounge chairs. Had sailed on the Breakaway and it was like a cattle drive- you couldn't find a seat unless you got up at 6:00 AM.

The entertainment was wonderful. Especially the comedy club- perhaps the best comedy we have seen in our over 45 cruises. Grease was also very entertaining. The restaurants didn't disappoint- we enjoyed the Hibatchi grill, Jamies, Chops and 150 Central Park. The suite restaurant also had very good food. The buffet was crowded, but we always managed to find a seat-unlike on the Quantum. Even Johnny rockets was good for lunch or a free breakfast. They made fresh omelets, the only thing lacking on the buffet breakfast.

Service overall was excellent- staff always greeted guests with a smile. We went to Nachi CoCom in cozumel- but really enjoyed Mr. Sanchos more the year before- will not return to Nachi- service fair- not great food or drinks. Labadee was wonderful- great barbecue and the beach is beautiful. We went to red strip beach in Jamaica and it was also very nice- clean safe beach. Shopping on board was better then on many other ships. I would highly recommend this ship to anybody considering a wonderful cruise vacation. We didn't use the children's club as my DH and I traveled alone. The ship has so many options for children and families to enjoy. Would cosider sailing on the Symphony, however the ship is expensive so we will wait and see if the prices come down. Since it is a twin of the HOTS- perhaps the HOTS rates will be better-for now.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite with Balcony

Cabin GS

Well located cabin. Beautiful and modern. Great large marble bathroom with a bathtub and two sinks. Lots of storage and we do not travel light. A great choice as you have access to the suite lounge, restaurant and suite sun deck which are great. You also have priority boarding and disembarkation which was wonderful and very efficient.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Beautiful clean beach- very good barbecue lunch. Easy on and off the ship.

Falmouth

Nice beach- plenty of shade and clean.
