After reading many of the reviews, I was nervous about our upcoming trip on the Anthem. I was traveling with my 3 adult children including one who was severally mentally and physically disabled and in a wheelchair. She is also incontinent We had a Handicapped room ( 8664). The room was simply amazing and truly designed to be handicapped accessible.

In summary the Staff and the Handicapped room were excellent and accommodated all our needs and more. . The bathroom was huge which allowed us to care for our disabled daughter. The staff was great from our room attendant, the restaurant staff , those running the activities , everyone just smiled and helped us. From start to finish there seemed to always be someone there to give us a hand from the second we pulled in to the loading dock in Bayone to empty the car to when we disembarked on our return. Even the excisions were handicapped accessible. We did Atlantis, Blue Lagoon and Disney. The ship is total handicapped accessible, wide automatic opening doors and smooth transitions. And most important to us was that there was a smile on everyones faces. Even the streets of Nassau, Bahamas and Atlantis was handicapped accessible which was a big surprise.

Restaurants- We did My Time Dinning, it worked perfectly, no long lines at all. We are Vegetarians so its always a challenge but there was always something on the menu or they would make us something special . We also saw a large selection of glutton free as well as several people eating prepared Kosher food. I had read complaints about the Windjammer and yes it gets crowded but we always found a table and the staff was constantly clearing tables and cleaning.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Huge Handicapped Room. Huge Bathroom with a great shower. Lots of storage room.. Also had a large deck with both a sliding door and a window. Only minor minor negative is that the life boats are stored underneath on Deck 6, so if you look down you see the life boats but the views to the Ocean are clear open. Room is close to the elevator which is very nice and also the room is quiet. We were very pleased.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Easy on and off the ship/. A porter emptied out our car and I parked at the indoor lot 2 minutes away from the ship. On return, a Porter took our luggage from the port and went with us to our car and helped to load. From the time we left our cabin to our car was 15 minutes. it was the fastest and easiest embarkation I have ever experienced
