Sail Date: Mar 2017

We recently returned from our Southern Caribbean cruise and though the stops were nice, we probably would not cruise on the Jewel again because it is a smaller ship with less things to do on board. We always look forward to the evening shows, but the shows on this ship just didn't cut it compared to other RCI ships. It seems like we got their "B" team where the production shows were concerned. And there were two nights where there were NO shows.

We think the portion sizes of food in the Tides dining room are smaller than on previous ships -- not that we needed more to eat. . .just something we observed. Our servers (Elvis and Sophia) were wonderful!

We are Diamond members, so our embarkation went very quickly. We flew into Puerto Rico and stayed at the airport hotel the night before and took a cab to the pier. It was cheaper and easier than using RCI's passes.
