We picked this cruise because of the dates and live in TX and didn't want to fly to a port in Florida. Overall we had a great time! We have 2 kids 16 &18. The staff goes the extra mile to make it a pleasant experience. The ship was clean, food good, and it was full of activities. We did a mixology class for martini's, used the fitness club daily, loved the surf rider and water slides, ice skating, & just j]hangong out by pools. We bought the 3 night dinner package and loved the Choppes Grill, Sabor, and Giovanni's. The kids activities for teens were so-so. We did a Disney cruise and their teen club and night shows were more family oriented. My 18 daughter who is still in high school and just turned 18 was not allowed in teen club and was too young for other things so she felt left out.

Excursions Cozumel-we did the Mayan ruin tour and beach trip. We had a great tour guide and day was fun. Grand Cayman-tours were cancelled due to weather but it turned out to be pretty day. We took a cab to Calico Jax beach and loved it. Jamaica-we did the Dunn River transfer and rum tasting. The falls were beautiful and we loved climbing them. However- we were then taken to a picnic area and had to buy lunch there (along with rum tasting) and then taken to a tourist junk shop that had everything overpriced. We asked to go back to port and were told no that this was part of package, I felt like we were being taken and trapped on the tour bus. By the time we got back to port it was too late to shop or do anything else. If I ever go back there I will choose more carefully.

Negatives:Port of Galveston is a disaster-long lines, nobody knew what was going on, and buses just drove past us. We have taken cruises from Florida and they are easy/organized & not stressful. On the ship-there seemed to be a huge push to buy stuff, drink booze "more booze, better cruise" and play bingo. The night shows were more targeted for adults. Our kids are older, but if I had younger kids I would have been disappointed. Also the Jamaica day was not a great experience.

Galveston

Parking and boarding was a mess. Disorganized mess. Long lines, nobody knew where to go or what line to wait in.
