Have had great experiences with Viking River Cruises, and wanted to see the Caribbean in a smaller vessel than the horrific 5 - 6,000 person mega liners. Viking seemed to fit the bill, we were not disappointed.

Particularly liked the Norwegian fare in the small restaurant in the Explored Lounge; also the excellent choice and casual atmosphere in the buffet style dinning at World Cafe on same [7th] deck. Not being heavy drinkers did not go for the drinks package, but found the included wines all very good and appropriate to the meals.

Excursions were very good; though some island tours somewhat clouded by the poor state of the economies of those islands that have not kept up economically with their much flaunted independence ! The cat trips to more remote beaches etc were a lot of fun and very relaxing. Submarine trip quite an exciting experience, but not likely to repeat it. Read more
