We had great expectations about this cruise from the reputation of Viking and the overall media advertising. However, there were some issues from the very start.

We allowed Viking to arrange and book our flights. Major error on my part. Although the pricing was good, the itinerary was the worst. They could not have routed us in a more round about and long (time) way. I am sure it was all driven by cost rather than convenience. I know I could have done better with a little exploring online than their "professional" air desk did. It might have been a little more expensive, but it would have been shorter and more palatable.

Arrived to chaos in San Juan, Puerto Rico airport. Their were multiple reception people holding Viking signs, but they were poorly trained and very disorganized. Our bags arrived and then we were herded into a large group to just stand around. No information about how long it would be before getting onto the buses or why we were just waiting. After 1 hour, several hundred people all filed out to the buses. Leaving our luggage unattended in a pile in the airport to be brought out by porters later.

Cabin Review

Cabin Junior Suite

Beautiful, large and bright. Well supplied and was just about perfect.

Port Reviews

Seville

Just not enough time to explore this beautiful city. Tour was great. Continued to wander around after tour was over. Still could have used more time. Loved Cadiz.

Valencia

Beautiful city of markedly different landscapes. The new city of science and arts is a contemporary sight to behold. The architecture and open areas are outstanding. Could have spent all day (even several days) exploring this area. The included tour did not stop in this area at all. Unfortunately.

The old city is beautiful. Coincidentally, there was a very large annual festival there while we were touring. Very crowded, very exciting and wonderful to see. Valencia is a city to go back to for extended vacationing. Very similar to the atmosphere of Barcelona.
