This was my 3rd viking cruise and our first ocean viking cruise. On board service was excellent. We really liked the small passenger population size of the ship (900) compared to other lager ocean vessel and the ride was very good. The food choices and service was exceptional. We are so glad we got to eat in the special chef table restaurant several times and enjoyed the multi course meals. The enrichment lecture before the port were very interesting presented by very knowledgeable speakers. The cabins on the ocean cruise appear to be much large than the river cruise vessels. The choice of standard and upgraded tour was very good we went with the standard tour about half the time. I would definitely pick and optional tour ASAP since some of them can sell out before the cruise unlike the river cruises tours. Christmas in the Med: It was the perfect time to visit the Mediterranean ports, nice fall weather and small crowds.

During the cruise also booked our 4th cruise with Viking for China in fall 2017

The check-in and embarkation were kind of a disaster because the ship had to go to a different embarkation port due to fog but the rest of the cruise was excellent.
