We chose this cruise because it was going to both Tunis and Algiers, ports we have always wanted to go to. The offshore excursions were wonderful. Viking made sure that everything went smoothly. Malta and Sardinia were fascinating as well, and the guided tours were very professionally done. There was always enough personnel to adjust our daily itineraries if we chose to do so. The lectures on board regarding the destination ports were extremely helpful. Just a piece of advice. Change your dollars to Euros before you board the ship because there is no way to change currency on board. We would have loved to make more purchases in Tunis and Algiers, but we did not have enough Euros. The food in the restaurants on board was excellent and there were so many choices of where to dine all day. The service by everyone was high caliber. We look forward to our next Viking journey.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite/Stateroom

The room was very spacious, clean, and had all the amenities. We had a living area with its own television, plus a king-size bed with its own television, and a partition between both if we wanted to use it. The heated floors and towel racks in the bathroom were great. The cabin attendant who supervised our floor was amazing and extremely helpful. The rooms were always cleaned more than once a day, and having a personal balcony was perfect.

Port Reviews

Malta (Valletta)

Beautiful city. A must see.

Malta (Valletta)

Malta is a fascinating port. We spent 7.75 hours doing Malta Highlights.

Tunis (La Goulette)

A rare opportunity to walk through such an ancient city.
