This was my very first cruise experience and it was less than pleasing. The accommodations were poor. The stateroom was falling apart. The beds were rickety and the cabin was unconfortable. The food was horrible and the entertainment was subpar. The pool was old and uninviting. I did not enjoy this and have promised not to sail Norweigan again. The "unlimited top shelf alcohol" was limited to a few selections. The premium lines of liquor were $7.00 or more. The food was disgraceful and left my travel guest and I seraching for somehting to each every night. We had to settle on chicken wings and french fries as that was the only thing we could find worthy of eating. I paid over $550 per person as a gift to my best friend on her birthday and was told I would be living in luxury. That was an outright lie. This was more like a Motel 6 experience. All dinners were sent back as they were cold and not tasty. The meat was tough and reheated in the main dining rooms. The buffet was more like a hospital cafeteria and was not appealing. All the food was recycled each day. The BBQ corn for lunch was reserved at dinner. The private island BBQ was horrible and I was forced to settle on a hot dog as it was the only thing I could eat. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone .
The cabin needed upkeep and maintenance. One bed was falling apart and the other sqeaked so loud that it kept everyone awake. It was not a comfortable cruise and far from the luxury experience I was promised. I would not recommend this to anyone based on my experience.
The island was pretty but the entertainment was mediocre and the food was horrible.
