First time with P&O as we wished to experience this cruise company for ourselves. The ship was delayed after the refurbish by a day and a half. P&O put up at their expense in a quality hotel. They also provided inconvenience and out of pocket compensation with on board credits which were generous. The mini suite was roomy, clean and tidy, thanks to the very busy housekeeping staff. The Waterfront Restaurant was the only letdown. Served meals on bowls, including steak, while the presentation and food substandard and definitely restaurant quality. The restaurant service staff were brilliant. The Pantry was refurbished into a number of micro food service areas with various cosines. This was an terrific change which went away from the smorgasbord. The food was good quality with lots of choices. The water-slide and edge activities were another great improvement. Overall the experience with P&O Pacific Dawn was positive.
Cabin good and cabin service staff were excellent.
Toured around via Hop on Hop off bus, MRT and Taxi. Lots to see and do. Very clean and safe city to visit.
Hired taxi to visit Bali beaches. Not my cup of tea as it is humid, hot and grotty.
Been to Darwin before and there is plenty to see and do. The RSL has a great lunch for the hungry.
The welcome to Cairns we terrific as the volunteers greeted all guests ashore.
