Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cruised to Bahamas after a few days of exploring New York on the Anthem.

Have travelled on many cruises and cruise lines in the past. Royal Caribbean ships have usually been a good choice for a great vacation.

We stayed in a balcony cabin which is always nice but we did not think about how cold it would be for the first and last two days so sitting out on the balcony was not an option. Maybe summer months it would be better. Our cabin steward was great. We did not have any special requests but she had our room tidy and clean every day.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Comfortable room with plenty of storage. Bed is hard like a pull out couch.

This room is in a quiet area of the ship.

Had an odor in the bathroom that came and went over the week. Not enough of a problem to want to move. Cabin stewart brought us spray to use and that was okay. Not sure if other rooms had this issue.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Embarkment was not as smooth as other ports. It was nice to have chairs to sit in while waiting to be helped. The port does not give a good first impression but it is functional.

Disembarking was much smoother. We were off quickly without hassle. The line for customs moved quickly.

Nassau

Took a cab for $4 a person to Atlantis for a day of looking around. Beautiful place. Very big requiring lots of walking but worth it.

Found out there are free bus shuttles to and from when you get off the ship.

We took one back from Atlantis. Free and it was actually nicer than the taxi.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Never took any of the tours. Just got off the ship and walked down to a restaurant for wifi.
